PTCL Broadband Rates Slashed!

Having been a proud owner of a PTCL Broadband 256kbps connection, I am absolutely thrilled that PTCL has now realized the potential of this technology and it's real value as they have slashed their prices for broadband connections! Gone are the days of volume-based surfing (always thought that was sucky). Now, all packages are Unlimited! Wohoo!

Also, 256kbps connections are no longer being offered and all existing customers who were on 256kbps would automatically be upgraded to 512kbps some time today. We'd have to pay the same i.e., 1199/month. Other packages have underwent upgrades too: 1Mbps now costs 1999, and there's a new addition at 2Mbps that'd cost 4999/month.

Check out their site for more info:

Happy Surfing! :)

Are you seriously sure that their

1Mbps connection has unlimited download ? I think it was set for a time (12:00am - 7:00pm) earlier

Please confirm this as its a BIG jump and i am tempted to test it

Do let me know your answer

Yes, previously they had an unlimited download between 1AM-8AM, but now all packages are unlimited. I called them up before posting this entry and they confirmed that this was the case. Besides, it says so on their website too (the link is the post).

Yeah i know its on their website but you know these marketing evils who hide many terms which you come to know later on.

Anyways, Dont you think so this new offer whould give WATEENs WIMAX a tough time?

Who would be a fool to get a 512Kbps conection from wateen when he is getting unlimited + double the speed in same amount.

Your views?

Yes, its an attempt by them to get customers no doubt but I don't think they are lying at all. Thats what competition is all about IMO. Wateen will have to reduce its rates sooner of later.

I think you're being overly-skeptical my friend. Unlimited packages are here finally, it's time to revel! :)

Na!! i was talking from what my friends have experienced. Its not what the website or the paper says its what you actually get in practical . . . anyways

I hope it gets more competitive so that end users benefit

Just posted this

Well, I beg to differ. Either they haven't read the terms and conditions closely enough or they were expecting something else. I, for one, can vouch for the fact that you get exactly what they say.
